Moving Costs in Mississauga
A short and honest record. Seven moves have started and finished inside Mississauga, which is too few to publish a price range from, so this page gives you the rate card those jobs were billed against and the things that decide how many hours yours takes.

Cactus has closed 7 moves that started and finished inside Mississauga. This page publishes a price range at 30 or more, so there is no range on it yet: a spread taken from 7 jobs would look like a measurement and read like a guess. What is firm at any sample size is the hourly rate card below, and it is the same card the Mississauga crews are billed against today.
Most of our Mississauga work has one end somewhere else in the GTA, and those jobs are priced on a different basis, so they are not counted here. Ask for a written estimate and you get a number built from your own inventory and access rather than from somebody else’s seven.
The hourly rates a Mississauga move is billed at
This is the firmer half of the page. The rate card is set, published on our Mississauga branch page, and written into the agreement before the crew starts, so the part of your bill that is decided in advance is decided here.
The totals above are what we invoiced, tax included. The hourly rates below are quoted before tax, and a move agreement also carries our standard operations fee, which the crew confirms with you before the truck rolls.
These are the same rates in all six Cactus cities. The card a crew in Mississauga is billed against is the card a crew in Calgary is billed against, on a weekday, a weekend or a holiday.

What lengthens a Mississauga move
With a sample this small the rate card and the hours tell you more than our history does. These four things move the hours.
-
Condo corridors and booked lifts
A tower move needs the service lift reserved and a certificate of insurance filed with the building. We supply the certificate; the slot has to come from you, and a missed one can cost an hour of standing around.
-
Long driveways and townhouse complexes
A visitor lot on the far side of a complex adds distance to every single carry. Ask the property manager whether the truck can stand closer for the morning, and get the answer before moving day.
-
Garages, basements and the second load
Detached homes here carry more square footage of storage than the apartments do. Sorting the garage the weekend before turns a full second load into a half one, and that is hours rather than minutes.
-
Crossing into Toronto or Brampton
A move with one end outside Mississauga is still billed by the hour with no travel time charged inside city limits, but it is not one of the seven jobs behind the figures above. Ask for it to be estimated on its own.

How much does a local move cost in Mississauga?
We do not publish a range for Mississauga yet. Seven closed local moves is enough to count and not enough to describe a city this size, and a range taken from that many jobs would read as a price when it is really a sample. The hourly rate card on this page is firm, and an estimator will put a number to your own move in writing.
-
Why does this page show so few moves?
Because it counts only jobs whose pickup and drop off were both inside Mississauga, and most of our work here has one end somewhere else in the GTA. Counting those 32 moves would be a different and less useful claim, so we publish the narrower number and say what it is.
-
How long does a Mississauga move take?
Most local moves in this size of city run a half day to a full day, and we will not put a figure on the middle one from the jobs we have closed here: a quartile range over seven moves is the price band this page already abstains from, in hours instead of dollars. Booked lifts and long carries from visitor parking are the two things that most often add time.
-
How many movers come on a Mississauga job?
Two or three on a typical home, and the estimator picks it from the room count and the access at both ends rather than from an average. The crew size is written on the agreement before the day rather than decided on the driveway.
-
Do I pay for travel time between addresses?
No. There is no charge for travel time within city limits, so the bill covers the hours the crew spends working at your old address and your new one. A move that leaves Mississauga is quoted separately.
-
Will my estimate look like these numbers?
You will get a number rather than a range, which is the better end of this. Seven jobs cannot describe every home in a city this size, so we build the estimate from your own inventory, your access at both ends and the rate card above, and we put it in writing before the day.

The branch page lists what our crews here do, the reviews page carries what customers said, and a move out of the province is quoted on a different basis.
Ask for the number that fits your home
Send the two addresses and what is coming with you. A Mississauga estimator replies with a written estimate covering the crew, the truck and the hours we expect.
