Details of the Chestermere to Calgary move: Lake Side to Mahogany SE, Calgary

Recently, we had the pleasure of helping a customer move from a 3 bedroom apartment in Chestermere to Calgary. The distance for the move was fairly large and there were a lot of belongings. Therefore, we would consider this a fairly large operation. It took 3 movers and 1 truck 11 hours to complete the move. On top of it, we also had to move a heavy item that weighted over 200 lbs in a single piece. As such, this adds both delays and complexities to this move.

Details of the move (residential, Calgary area)

The customer had a 3 bedroom apartment in Chestermere. This residential move was of a large size with following furniture and item transferred by our movers:

  • 2 queen bed frames
  • 2 queen mattresses
  • 2 queen box springs
  • 1 king bed frame

  • And other small miscellaneous items

Moving efficiently from one location to the next. Professionally packed equipment – both protected with blankets, strapped down where needed and organized for maximum space utilization, so that fewer trips are required.

Process of the move

Moving a property professionally involves many details. To make sure everything goes smoothly, one must both prepare beforehand and work hard during the move. The process of moving the above list of items involved the following steps:

  1. Planning and preparation: This included creating a detailed inventory of all the items to be moved, gathering necessary packing materials (such as boxes, bubble wrap, and tape), and arranging for the rental of any necessary equipment (such as dollies or straps).
  2. Packing: All of the items on the list would need to be carefully packed and secured in boxes or bins to ensure they are protected during the move. Fragile items, such as china or TVs, would need to be packed with extra care to prevent damage.
  3. Loading: The packed items would then be loaded onto the moving truck, using dollies or other equipment to ensure they are safely and efficiently loaded. Furniture and larger items would typically be loaded first, followed by boxes and other smaller items.
  4. Transportation: The moving truck would then transport the items to the new location. Depending on the distance, this process could take several hours or days.
  5. Unloading: Once the truck arrives at the new location, the items would be unloaded and carried into the new home. Furniture would be placed in the appropriate rooms, and boxes and smaller items would be unpacked and organized.
  6. Cleanup: Once all of the items have been unpacked and organized, any leftover packing materials would be disposed of and the moving truck would be returned.

Overall, the process of moving these items would require careful planning, attention to detail, and physical labor to ensure everything is safely and efficiently transported to the new location.
